How to Make Your Own Ground Turkey or Chicken – Low Fat Chicken Recipes

Posted by admin on Aug 23, 2009

This is simple, and so economical…

1. Buy some poultry.

2. Debone and cut off the fat with kitchen shears. (I prefer to buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts)

3. Grind the meat in a food processor. (This is an item that is well-worth the investment.  I paid $40 for mine at Wal-Mart)

4. Now when you cook the ground turkey or chicken in a skillet, cook it with a chopped up onion and some salt and pepper.  Add garlic powder and a bit of low-sodium soy sauce if you need more flavor.

Simple. Easy. Genius! Actually just generously add Mrs. Dash varieties and enjoy in various ways! I like mine in a Ezekiel pita pocket with a bunch of veggies drizzled with dressing or whatever sounds good.
